Staff is caring and professional with those of us who are clients and with one another.
The best physical therapy in the area! I have tried others, but nothing compares to the experience, time and communication I received during my treatment at PT For Life.
Great place efficient..well run...clean knowledgeable personnel and therapists.
Great staff, friendly, compassionate, but they will keep you moving while they are being so nice! They know their stuff for sure. Glad I chose them for my pre- and post-rehab for my knee replacement. Highly recommend.
I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Drew took care of my son after a surgery that he was not familiar with. During our initial visit, he had already researched my son’s surgeon and the protocol to be used after this surgery. He gave my son confidence, strength, and courage to get back to his pre surgery form. He also told my son to get back in touch with him for any issues now that he’s back at college out of state. I highly recommend PT for Life, and specifically Drew.
The staff, Is fantastic and does an amazing job of explaining everything and keeping you moving throughout your time there. Drew has done a fabulous job dealing with both my hip and back simultaneously, explaining everything and objectives fully . A truly great experience.Thank You! Stan Dumoch
They helped me get my shoulder back to normal.
The staff is outstanding! This is a place to go for PT. It was recommended to me by friends, and I'm glad I went.
Very knowledgeable professional staff..treat everyone in a respectful and friendly way..couldn't be more pleased...
I have been attending PT for several months as an oncology patient for total body reconditioning fighting the side effects of several cancer medications. Side effects consisted of muscle and bone weakness, full body fatigue, neuropathy, balance and coordination issues…Oncology team set the goal of maintaining current levels with an aim to prevent more decline. Despite still on medications and fighting side effects, my PT treatments have me feeling and performing above where I started and improving weekly… a bonus! EVERY member of the staff has been professional, supportive, friendly, and polite. PT for Life Southbury is a well oiled machine and no matter the volume of patients I never feel rushed, forgotten, or in the way. 👍 👍
Drew and staff have been great to my son who went in with a shoulder injury. They've been working with him to strengthen his shoulder and providing advice/direction.
Great customer service, great team work among employees, really care about wellbeing of their clients easy to talk to and very polite. Was referred by a good friend. Had full hip replacement surgery and started with them 2 weeks post surgery and after 2 weeks with them have made great strides (pun intended) forward. Going back to work early as I have recovered faster Jan anticipated thanks to the support and work from Erik. Great place and great crew!!
They have helped me soo much in getting my knee back in shape after it was replaced! Very gentle but very encouraging!
Very nice staff, knowledgeable. Clean facility.
Amber and Matt were amazing and Amber helped figure out a problem that has been going on for years
I love this place! Everyone is so kind and they all work hard to help me feel better.
Very professional and caring. Hands on care!
Although at times I don't want to go to PT it is not because of the environment, but because I don't like the pain. That being said the PTSMC staff guide me in such a way that I will be a success and heal properly, they listen to me. They are kind, thoughtful and consistent in their work.
PT For Life is an excellent choice for therapy due to the knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Eric and Kaylynn are wonderful. They listened to my concerns and allowed me to be a partner in my treatment. I would highly recommend them !
I highly recommend PT for Life. They are professional providing appropriate exercises to address problem areas. I especially like the variety of exercises and the online access with video demonstrations of exercises to support doing them at home.
Great staff and caring therapists. Easy to make appointments and cancel as well for your particular needs. I appreciated the approach of the therapists and PT techs and will return when needed.
Matt was great. Helped me regain mobility in my neck that had gotten stiff after a fall.I was worried when driving as I couldn’t rotate my neck as required to see properly.Therapy helped strengthen my neck and shoulder.Super friendly environment and very clean.I would go back if needed in the future.
I have been going to PT for life for several weeks now. My physical therapist is Erik Olsen. I am beyond grateful for all his care and dedication towards my health. Erik explains each exercise as to how and why. He is a phenomenal therapist.
The therapists at PT for Life are invested in my knee getting back as much function as possible after replacement surgery.
I loved my experience at PT for Life. Recovering from double hip replacements I needed to build strength. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable, kind and encouraging. I needed some extra help with my spine and sciatic since the new hips realigned my body. That extra touch helped me build confidence and left me with a plan to stay strong. Everyone at this facility is friendly and supportive.
This physical therapy facility is staffed by excellent professionals, whom I trust. They are knowledgeable, respectful, attentive and caring. The place itself is always clean and uncluttered.I am currently seeing Eric, who has impressed me with his professionalism and his ability to help me rehabilitate after a knee replacement. The business seems to be very well managed. They are always on time, they send appointment reminders and they are well staffed.I wouldn't go any place else!
great staff I'll be back next year.
Drew roams about his staff of PT experts like a benevolent Svengali prompting this one to do that and encouraging that one to do this. Even through the pain of manipulation, it was a pleasure to be a client. I would definitely return if another injury required it.
I’ve been to a number of PT facilities and PT For Life in Southbury stands head and shoulders above the rest. On my first visit I explained what I needed after my knee replacement and hadn’t gotten in my last PT experience. My PT, Amber, listened carefully, took notes and set up a therapy regime for me to meet with success. Each day I had therapy I had personalized, hands-on massage and manipulation as well as numerous exercises to help with my range of motion. Most of these exercises were routines I could easily do at home. I received printouts as needed.I’ve made excellent progress in my recovery and fully attribute it to the dedicated personnel at PT for Life in Southbury!I’d highly recommend them for your therapy needs.
They are very professional, clean, friendly, and best of all really good at what they do!
Wow! Can’t believe the progress I’ve made in 5 appointments! Staff is super knowledgeable and very caring. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
The treatment I received at PT for Life is excellent- they are caring, courteous and knowledgeable.
All of the physical therapists are excellent....knowledgeable and caring. The office personnel are great as well.I have been sick and had to change appointments several times. This was done easily and the first concern was for my health.I would recommend PT for Life for any physical therapy needs.
A great place to go for PT. Knowledgeable and skillful and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend.
From day 1, PT for Life has impressed me. The place itself is easy to get in and out, always clean, with cleaning done after each client. I have the pleasure of working with 2 physical therapists, and their team ,as they work as a cohesive unit, providing a PT plan that's personalized and carefully monitored. They ask questions, listen to your response and care about your health and progress, and progress I am making. Professional, progressive and friendly. 5 + stars in my book.
The staff of PT for Life in Southbury is attentive, highly competent and kind. They pay attention not just to your injured limb but to the whole person who comes through their door. This is my second go-round with the group -- they first took care of me six years ago, the last time I needed PT. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I am very satisfied with the P/T that I am receiving at PT for Life. My therapist Amber is very caring and knowledgeable!
I was really lucky to go to PT for Life after an ankle fracture that required surgery. They got me back on my feet pretty quickly, and were always welcoming and easy to talk to. I mostly worked with Matt, who was awesome, and everybody else there was really nice too. My recovery process was so much better because I went to PT for Life, honestly.
PT for Life is a team of therapists that really care -- about you --- and show it at every opportunity
The staff that I have dealt with( Drew, Matt and Natalie) are very professional, caring and knowledgable. I feel like I am getting the best care under their supervision.
I want to thank everyone at PT for Life, especially Erik Olsen, for the great care they gave me after my knee replacement. Their exercises and encouragement are responsible for the great strides I have made toward total rehabilitation. I will recommend them to everyone that I come in contact with that has a need for Physical Therapy.Sincerely,Nancy Mackey
The entire staff here is great. Erik is very knowledgeable and cares about each of his patients. He has helped me tremendously with my recovery from a back injury. As a fellow physical therapist I would highly recommend PT for Life to anyone!

Why choose PT for Life?

PT for Life, an affiliate of Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers, has achieved a reputation as a leader in healthcare in Connecticut, improving the quality of life for our patients, returning them to work, athletics and the lifestyle they enjoyed prior to pain injury or surgery.

PT for Life offers physical therapy services specializing in musculoskeletal, orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Our physical therapists focus on the individual needs of each patient and develop customized, tailored treatment programs that are the safest, most efficient routes to fast recovery.

1-on-1 assessments, hands-on care, cutting-edge techniques.

All PT for Life clinicians provide hands-on care to their patients. Listening and careful evaluation of each patient’s needs are vital to our patient-centered care model. Spending time with patients throughout the cycle of care, from initial evaluation to discharge, ensures complete satisfaction and successful outcomes. Patient education about injury, treatment and recovery is valued and stressed throughout the rehabilitation. Our clinicians use a combination of expert hands-on care with cutting-edge techniques and equipment to provide world-class treatment to each patient based on their individual deficits, needs and goals.

What do we treat?

Physical therapy is not just an effective way to rehab severe injury or immobility – it’s the go-to healthcare option for anyone dealing with sudden or recurring muscle or joint pain. This includes people of all ages and abilities with sports injuries, back or neck pain, vertigo or balance issues, TMJ jaw pain and headaches, arthritis, knee pain, foot and ankle pain, pre and post-natal issues, post-operative needs, fitness needs, or simply muscle or joint pain that keeps you up all night or keeps you from doing what you love during the day.

NO DOCTOR REFERRAL NEEDED!

With CT’s “Direct Access” laws, most individuals can see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral. This means you can save time and money by skipping the physician and instead scheduling an appointment with the muscle and joint experts who can assess your issue, identify the root cause of the pain, and create a customized program to get you moving and feeling good again.
