The therapists are caring, knowledgeable and listen to one's concerns. They take time, never rush sessions and do their best to remedy patients' issues
Josh and Liza are the best! Smaller side place with everything needed. They really get to know you and are very knowledgeable.
Very knowledgeable and compassionate!
Noticing steady improvement regarding recovery from my injury. I am very pleased with the progress and the staff’s support and friendliness makes the PT sessions enjoyable.
I am writing this for my husband Michael. The staff is very knowledgeable, understanding and helpful in supplying exercises to help my issues
Everyone is very friendly and professional . Place is very clean and tables wiped down after each person
Liza is great! A pleasure to work with and very willing to listen and adapt … always very helpful!
I have been going to the office for a while now for a pinched nerve. Josh and his staff are excellent.Josh is very thorough and works extremely hard to bring you relief. He is very personable and answers all questions slowly and completely. He definitely knows his business.I should also add that the office is very accessible with plenty of parking right in front and the office is wide open, bright and airy.I highly recommend this committed team.R. I feel very lucky to have chosen PTMSC Danbury for my PT needs. Every time I walk in I feel welcome and important. Renee is very friendly and helpful at the front desk, and the entire team in back is amazing. Both Jackie and Ali have managed to make great progress on my injured shoulder, and in a very short time. Somehow, they have made it fun to go there twice a week. Seriously, they are professional and certainly know their stuff, but they make the work to get better fun. Lastly, it truly is a team atmosphere. I have not worked with Liza or Josh, but they too take the time to greet you, ask how you are, or start a conversation. Whether you have direct contact with someone or not, everyone is outgoing and friendly. I would definitely recommend PTMSC Danbury.
Josh is very attentive, personable and most importantly very knowledgable about the human body and I have been to 3 other pt locations that falled short. This is the place for great therapy!
10/10, Josh, Liza and the team are the best around for physical therapy. It would be a shame to go elsewhere as this team is the best around.
Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers Danbury is an outstanding facility to recover and heal from an injury. The entire staff is exceptional, patient and doting, particularly... Mary, Liza, Renee. The place is extremely clean with excellent hours and location. I recommend highly!
I have personally been to quite a few Physical Therapy places over the years. This one will be my go-to from now on. They have personalized attention there. Even after your 3rd 4th or 5th visit. Many places will teach you what you need to do then just have you come in and work out like its a gym and leave. This place works with you individually. They don't over book and they are so lenient with appointments. A+++
I am having a great experience working through my physical therapy. The staff is always very attentively ensuring that I am safely doing my rehab without injury.
I went to PTSMC when I had a frozen shoulder a few months back. I could not lift my arm beyond a bare minimum.Josh, Liza, Renee and Sarah are such a great team and they fixed me up! I got back up on my Indian Road master, thanks to them!
They’re fantastic in every facet of the PT business!
If you are looking for a Physical Therapy place go here! The staff is great, patient and pleasant to work with. The therapists are knowledgeable, patient, answer your questions, don't rush you and are so supportive. They challenge you but not to the point of pain. I always feel as though they are listening to me and working with me rather than their own agenda. They work with you towards your goals and are always reading.
Great place to get better. They listen and care.
Liza is great. Very knowledgeable and creative. Helped me more than I hoped for. Also, I was very impressed that her focus was on getting me independent as quickly as possible.
The team is exceptional. They are incredibly professional, and took the time to understand my objectives, and my capabilities and concerns to develop a realistic plan that was personalized to achieve those objectives. I saw immediate results and continue to see weekly improvements. I have referred others who now share my confidence in PTSMC Danbury, and highly recommend them.Thom Abrams

Joshua is very friendly and knowledgeable. They take the time to spend with you and switch up the exercises. The staff is very friendly.
I was referred by my spine specialist. I couldnt be happier with the care. Liza has helped my back and leg pain tremendously. Very friendly staff. They make you feel like you have known them a long time.
I simply can’t say enough great things about Josh and his team. His expertise in the art of Dry Needling has helped my tremendously with migraines, dizziness, ringing in my ears and extremely tight neck muscles. The facility is spotless, and a very warm, caring and inviting atmosphere I highly recommend PTSM
All the Physical Therapy here or very good Therapist. I’ve been to other places but this one I will keep coming back to it when I need them. The staff here is very friendly and very helpful. The physical therapist helped me get to my goal that my doctor wants. They listen to your concerns and answer any questions you have.I’m very happy with the service I received here.
Clean space and not overburdened with people. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs.
I am truly grateful to the staff and the therapists in this practice. I took my wife to be seen and evaluated after she had an accident on the 1st week of June. She saw her orthopedist and was referred to Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center in Danbury. After a few visits, my injured wife has improved significantly. She was taught some exercises that she religiously worked on at home and she really appreciated the efforts and professionalism of her therapists. She could walk without her walking stick now, and she could wear footwear (she LOVES footwear, FYI); and her gait isn't as 'injured' as previously noted plus bonus points: SHE ISN'T IN SO MUCH PAIN ANYMORE. (Seriously, WOW)Thank you to the staff for the ease of scheduling appointments, and therapists Joshua and "G" (my wife calls her female therapist "G"...)
Joshua was very knowledgeable in identifying the source of my problem areas. Immediately after identifying the areas, he administered treatment. I am pleased with the results. I will certainly recommend his facility.
I've just completed a very successful 8 session program with Josh and his team, who were all very knowledgeable and took the time to really understand my goals and current condition. Overall a very positive experience, and I feel like they've given me the tools I need to ensure my knee pain remains manageable. The office is immaculately clean and well managed, and I would highly recommend it.
I can’t say enough good things about Josh and his staff. He devised a very effective therapy plan that produced immediate positive results for a sports-related shoulder injury. Competent, caring, patient and extremely knowledgeable.
Great staff! Very professional and attentive. I would certainly use them again.
I went to the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center on Mill Plain rd for PT at the suggestion of my MD. My MD prescribed an 8 visit treatment. I went to the center and found the place was incredibly clean, very COVID-19 safe and obviously well managed by the therapist, Josh. During my first visit, Josh spent 10-15 minutes asking questions and measuring my mobility and assessing my problem. He quickly whipped up a plan of exercises that I could do at home as well during my twice weekly visits. Along with exercises, Josh spent 10 minutes each visit thoroughly massaging my affected areas. He quickly found a "golf ball size" knot I had in some muscles between my neck and shoulder and he worked on that vigorously and diligently. He also adjusted the plan according to my feedback. When I said something hurt or was uncomfortable, he quickly adjusted my plan to stop the discomfort.I am happy to report that after only 9 or 10 visits, I am now pain free and my mobility has improved substantially. I had physical therapy years ago when I lived in NY and was frankly disappointed with the lack of results from a different therapist. I can now say with great pleasure that Josh has restored my faith in physical therapy. That young man is talented, well educated and extremely knowledgeable of his practice. Josh is also very personable and makes you feel comfortable and less like you're there to "work" on your problem.I would recommend him to any and all friends and family who might need Physical Therapy.Thank you Josh. I appreciate all you did for me. You are a true professional.

Why choose PTSMC?

Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers has achieved a reputation as a leader in healthcare in Connecticut, improving the quality of life for our patients, returning them to work, athletics and the lifestyle they enjoyed prior to pain injury or surgery.

PTSMC offers physical therapy services specializing in musculoskeletal, orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Our physical therapists focus on the individual needs of each patient and develop customized, tailored treatment programs that are the safest, most efficient routes to fast recovery.

1-on-1 assessments, hands-on care, cutting-edge techniques.

All PTSMC clinicians provide hands-on care to their patients. Listening and careful evaluation of each patient’s needs are vital to our patient-centered care model. Spending time with patients throughout the cycle of care, from initial evaluation to discharge, ensures complete satisfaction and successful outcomes. Patient education about injury, treatment and recovery is valued and stressed throughout the rehabilitation. PTSMC clinicians use a combination of expert hands-on care with cutting-edge techniques and equipment to provide world-class treatment to each patient based on their individual deficits, needs and goals.

What do we treat?

Physical therapy is not just an effective way to rehab severe injury or immobility – it’s the go-to healthcare option for anyone dealing with sudden or recurring muscle or joint pain. This includes people of all ages and abilities with sports injuries, back or neck pain, vertigo or balance issues, TMJ jaw pain and headaches, arthritis, knee pain, foot and ankle pain, pre and post-natal issues, post-operative needs, fitness needs, or simply muscle or joint pain that keeps you up all night or keeps you from doing what you love during the day.

NO DOCTOR REFERRAL NEEDED!

With CT’s “Direct Access” laws, most individuals can see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral. This means you can save time and money by skipping the physician and instead scheduling an appointment with the muscle and joint experts who can assess your issue, identify the root cause of the pain, and create a customized program to get you moving and feeling good again.
