I ruptured a disc, L4 in January and needed a lot of help. It was pretty severe. I worked primarily with Scott at PTSMCW. I learned a host of new stretches, strength training exercises and treatments and I'm now much stronger than I was before the injury. My healing was fast-tracked because of the expertise and attention I received at PTSMCW. They also addressed other weak spots, imbalances and tight spots I had which was extremely helpful. Can't recommend this place enough!

I have been going to PT for a back issue. The staff at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine are outstanding! They are polite to their clients and to each other. Masks are worn, hand sanitizer is available and used by staff and clients, equipment is wiped down after each use. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and explain what they are doing, and working towards for each client. I even go home with my exercises printed out to continue my progress at home! I highly recommend Pysical Therapy & Sports Medice in Westbrook!

I was treated at Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Westbrook CT. Brian Baker is an extraordinary physical therapist. He’s a talented and caring professional. The entire team there treats everyone with respect from the front desk to the therapy rooms. The faculty is immaculately clean. I’m very impressed.

I work a very physical job and over the years have injured myself a few times. Ive been sent to diffrent PTs and hands down this place is the best.They thought out of the box and not only helped relieve my pain but are helping me strengthen the parts of my body that have caused the pain. So.... surgery is a nightmare i dont have to deal with.Thank u Eric ☮

This is my second time in six years needing physical therapy and I have used PTSMC both times. Every aspect has been exceptional, beginning with scheduling and especially with the therapy. Bryan has provided excellent direction and therapy and I have seen positive results beginning in the first week. Caty has been a huge help ensuring I am doing the exercises correctly. I highly recommend PTSMC for all needed physical therapy.

You never want to be at PT but when you need to this is the only place I will go to. Great people (that actually like their jobs and it shows). Thank you for making a most unpleasant experience (ruptured patella tendon) into a quest to be better again!!!

I've been having back pain for 3 years now and within 3 weeks my back pain is mostly gone! The physical therapists there really know what they're talking about. You have to listen to them and put in the work, and the results will speak for themselves.

I found the PTSM to be a great place because of the friendly and knowledgeable therapists . Even the secretaries always have a smile and greet by name. When you do things correctly the therapists always say "Good Job".

I have had the occasion to have PT at several locations, but PTSMC is by far the BEST. The therapists work well together while keeping their patients busy with therapy. They take their work seriously and lend the feeling that they want to make an improved difference with patients' pain. They are constantly moving around from one patient to another; there is no downtime.....they are hard workers. I highly recommend PTSMC for everyone's therapy.

I am beyond pleased with the care and therapy recieved here. I’ve been here for my back (which they fixed) and now for radial nerve palsy. This is not easy to treat but Molly has done a fantastic job finding the right exercises for me to practice and recover ASAP. I would absolutely recommend going here if you need PT!

Love this place! My first experience with phusicph therapy and you can tell the therapists are extremely knowlegknowle, kind and amazing at what they do. It says a lot that just after a few sessions to walk in feeling pain and leave feeling absolute relief. Highly recommend!!!

First, I thought my only path forward was spine surgery but after 3 weeks of physical therapy, the excruciating pain has been mostly relieved, I can sit and concentrate (both were impossible for me) and with continued progress I now hope to be able to have a normal life without the surgery (here's hoping!). Thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Westbrook - they are the first to treat the cause not the symptom and it's working.

What Do I Need To Schedule An Appointment?
Connecticut law allows physical therapy treatment without a physician’s referral. Some insurance companies do require that you have a prescription to cover physical therapy services. To begin physical therapy, please call one of our offices or submit your information through our website and we will help guide you through the process by coordinating with your physician and insurance company to start you on the road to recovery.
Do You Offer Private Treatment Rooms?
Yes, all of our offices have individual treatment rooms for private treatment and an exercise gym area.
Do You Communicate Progress To My Doctor?
Yes, on a regular basis we send your referring physician an update on the progress you have made in physical therapy. If you wish a copy of this update be sent to any other physician please inform your therapist and we will be glad to do so.
What Do I Need To Bring To My First Visit?
Please bring the prescription from your physician and a copy of your insurance card or any other medical claim information if your injury is work or auto related. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing based on the location of your injury. For example, shorts for a lower extremity injury (knee or ankle), loose or sleeveless shirt for a shoulder injury. We provide gowns if needed for care of neck and back injuries.
