LSVT BIG is an innovative physical therapy program to improve motor skills in individuals who have Parkinson’s Disease.
This method was developed following rigorous research funded by the National Institutes of Health. More than 20 years’ research shows improved ratings on motor function tests post-LSVT BIG protocol.
Most insurances are accepted for LSVT BIG treatment.
LSVT BIG teaches those living with Parkinson’s Disease how to avoid inactivity and ease movement while engaged in everyday activities, improving their quality of life.

Who qualifies for LSVT BIG?
Our LSVT BIG certified clinicians currently treat Stage I and II Parkinson’s disease. Exercise intervention with LSVT BIG will have the most significant positive impact on quality of life when initiated closer to the time of diagnosis. Research suggests that people with Parkinson’s disease should not wait until function is impaired or balance problems occur.
How does LSVT BIG therapy work?
- 16 sessions: four consecutive days a week for four weeks
- One-on-one hour-long sessions
- Daily at-home practices
- Daily carryover exercises
For those living with Parkinson’s, LSVT BIG can help improve:
