I am not a stranger to sprains and breaks, and I know being injured is one of the most frustrating experiences. Yet, all of the staff at PTSMC are so helpful and joyful, you can't help but smile when you walk into their clinic. All PTSMC staff help you know that recovery is possible while making it fun as you work through the hard but necessary process of healing. P.S. If you can, ask for Ted--you won't regret it! He was my physical therapist and he is the bee's knees!

I've had so many reasons for PT over the years that I am a pretty savvy consumer of these services. EVERY interaction at this facility has been helpful. Everyone at the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers in New Haven, CT is very friendly and professional, from a welcome greeting when you enter the facility and when you're leaving. The entire Staff is awesome and accommodating to client's needs.I experienced an immediate bond with Rick Purdy, PT when he read my referral doctor's report and assessed my abilities. Rick made it easy for me to see by example ways to improve my walking with a cane and gait, to procedures to diminish cramping /neuropathy pain in my right leg/foot tendons. Rick is a very thorough PT from my point of view with all his clients.I'm very grateful for my Dr. Machado, Neurologist referral to Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers in New Haven. Wonderfully Dedicated, professional stuff. Attention is given to every detail and questions are answered in an expeditious and courteous manner. The staff appears to be a very inter-disciplinary complement as well. Most of all, I leave feeling as though I have been given The correct carryover exercises and advice to make my transition from my initial pain to a more comfortable situation.

Truly the best physical therapy I’ve had, period—and I’ve seen over twenty medical professionals for my condition in the past two years!! The therapists listen carefully to your experience and allow it to inform their own highly knowledgeable approach. My PT walked through a challenging recovery with me, step by step, clarifying feedback and cheerleading the whole way. So impressed and so grateful for his work!

Great therapists who are well-trained, knowledgeable and go beyond what others can do. I was suffering from a bad bout of vertigo for weeks, and where doctors and other PTs could not help/have incorrect advice PTSMC was able to offer explanations, hope, and a road to recovery (with appropriate caveats regarding diagnosis and treatment). Would recommend unequivocally, especially for vestibular disorders.

I’ve visited many PT offices in New Haven over the years and PTSMC is by far the best.The PTs are experienced, serious and focused. The assistants and office staff are also focused, competent and friendly. It can get busy at times but all staff work seamlessly together to make for a happy environment. Fred Havelicek is awesome. He has tremendous knowledge of the body and is sensitive and responsive to the each individual’s particular needs. My husband saw him before I did and Fred’s guidance cured him of a long-standing hip problem. Offices are spotlessly clean too!
