PT Profile: Stephanie Santos, PT, DPT

What made you want to be a PT?
I always saw PT as an extremely rewarding career. I’ve been in and out of PT since high school dealing with soccer injuries and really looked up to my physical therapist for getting me back to what I love to do.
What’s an interesting skill you have?
I love to play soccer. I played at the collegiate level at the University of Hartford, pro amateur level with New England Mutiny, and internationally with the Women’s Portuguese National Team. I currently play for CT Fusion, a pro amateur team based out of Farmington, CT.
What’s your favorite thing you did this summer?
Jetskiing and spending time with family.
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Greece
What population or specialization for physical therapy is most interesting to you and why?
I have a particular interest in sports medicine and working with athletes, especially soccer players. I’ve lived it and love to provide any kind of support or feedback I can throughout the rehab process, including both physical and psychological components that come into play with sports injuries.

Flight
