Physical Therapy Care, Wherever You Are.

At PTSMC, we understand the importance of healing your pain quickly and from an environment you feel comfortable in. That’s why our clinicians are now using Doxy.me, a safe, easy-to-use, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform to stay connected with patients wherever they are.

Doxy.me is trusted by healthcare providers around the world. It is 100% safe and secure, and requires no download to use – you’re only a click away from the physical therapy treatment and guidance you need to address pain and immobility.

Telehealth sessions are one-on-one visits with your PT provider, during which your therapist will assess your status using a number of questions, as well as range of motion and function tests, before guiding you through movements, exercises and stretches that will help to improve your condition. Your therapist will provide a self-care roadmap to get you on the road towards moving and living pain-free again.

Most telehealth sessions are covered by your insurance. Please contact us with questions about healthcare coverage for telehealth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

When you are scheduled for a telehealth session, your physical therapist will send an email with your session link and some tips for getting the most out of your visit. To “check in,” all you have to do is click on the virtual waiting room link a few minutes before the session and your therapist will be ready for you!

Is this covered by my insurance?

Most telehealth sessions are covered by insurance the same way that in-person physical therapy visits are. In short, most likely yes! You can reach out to one of our clinics if you have questions or concerns about your insurance coverage.

What kind of device do I need?

Our telehealth platform works on any laptop, computer, smart phone or tablet with a working camera and microphone.

What happens in a telehealth session?

Each telehealth visit will be customized for each individual patient’s needs, but you can expect to have one-on-one time with your therapist to discuss your pain and mobility symptoms. After that, you’ll likely be guided through tests to assess your range of motion and function, some movements, exercises and stretches you can do from home to help improve your condition, and next steps to keep you on the path to recovery.
