Tom lives in Rhode Island with his wife and golden retriever, Cooper. Outside of work, Tom enjoys any outdoor activity including golfing, fishing, hunting, and four-wheeling.
A Letter from Tom Harney
After 46 years of working in a profession that has truly been a passion, I’ve made the bittersweet decision to retire.
Working as a physical therapist over the years has been both fun and challenging but always rewarding. Being able to actively improve the quality of the lives of my friends and neighbors here in Northeast CT has been an honor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for placing your trust in me and my team for your healthcare needs throughout the years.
Being able to lead such an amazing team at both PTSMC Putnam and PTSMC Danielson has allowed me to mentor clinicians and watch them grow over the years. I am excited to announce that two of my trusted physical therapists will be transitioning into leadership roles. Kyleen Sidwell will assume the Director position at PTSMC Putnam, while Micaela Pina will step into the Director role at PTSMC Danielson. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting these two exceptional physical therapists yet, please reach out to any of us and we will make that happen.
Please rest assured that if you are currently being treated, your care will continue without disruption. PTSMC Putnam and PTSMC Danielson will continue to provide the exceptional care for which we have become known for over the last 26 years.
While I am stepping away from my leadership role effective April 1st, I will continue to treat patients though the end of June. I will then transition to a per diem role going forward. Thank you again for entrusting me with your care throughout the years. While I cannot wait to watch Kyleen and Miceala succeed in their new roles, I will miss treating you all and sharing in the laughter that usually went along with it.
