Outside of the clinic…

Melanie has been wrestling since she was 15, and continued to do so at Springfield Technical Community college for two years before she joined the Coast Guard. She served in the Coast Guard for 8.5 years and was a helicopter mechanic. She continued to find interest in other martial arts, and started jiu jitsu about 10 years ago when stationed down in Key West. She has done a couple of MMA and muay thai fights in the past, but is solely focusing on jiu jitsu now.
