Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center (PTSMC) of Westbrook is excited to celebrate its 15-year anniversary in March. The clinic, which opened on March 3, 2003, has grown from a one-person operation located in the back of a gym to a thriving physical therapy clinic that employs 14 staff members and occupies a 4,000-square foot, newly remodeled space at the Lakebrook Medical Center. In its 15 years, PTSMC Westbrook has served tens of thousands of individuals from the Westbrook community and beyond.
Scott Cameron, the clinic’s Partner and Director, has overseen its success from the very beginning. He credits a personal dedication to patient care, an ever-growing team of committed therapists and the support of PTSMC’s West Hartford-based administrative team for his success, saying, “My primary motivation has always been treating patients well and helping them feel better, and I’ve been able to do that because I have the support of PTSMC and an incredible team here in the clinic every day.” He continued, “As we’ve grown and moved to bigger spaces, we’ve had the opportunity to build strong relationships with people from the Westbrook community and beyond, and I’m excited to see what happens next.”
Alan Balavender, Founder and President of Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers, is proud of what Cameron and his staff in Westbrook have accomplished, saying, “Our partnership model supports clinicians who want to own and operate their own clinic, but at the end of the day, it’s up to the partners and their employees to provide the type of care that builds trust and loyalty with their patients.” He continued, “Scott Cameron and his team in Westbrook are celebrating 15 years of success because they’ve brought that level of care to the community.”
