WHAT IS PILATES DAY?
Pilates Day is an annual, international, community event celebrated on the first Saturday of May every year.
The Pilates Day mission is to foster the public’s appreciation and awareness of the Pilates Method through a network of varied, innovative, and high quality grassroots Pilates events accessible and affordable for all.
Pilates Day activities will include:
• Free mat class: 60min, all levels (bring your own mat)
• Pilates Talk: Informal Q&A session after class
• Light refreshments
• Complementary 10min chair massage
• Raffle prizes

Intro to Pilates with Sara Miller
Tuesdays at 7:30am at PTSMC Southington
45 minute classes
$15 single class
10 class package for $135 – 10% savings!
Designed for those new to Pilates. Participants will learn fundamentals upon which to build. Classes will focus on the basic movements of the Pilates method. The exercises are done on a mat using body weight as resistance – they are low impact and gentle on the joints. The focus of the classes will be on proper body alignment and movement, good posture, and core strength and stability.
* Please bring your own mat or beach towel.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Sara Miller has been a Fitness Professional since 2006. She is a comprehensively trained Pilates Teacher who earned her certification through the Pilates Method Alliance. She also holds Group Fitness and Personal Fitness Training certifications. In addition to being a PT Aide at the Southington clinic, Sara is a Physical Therapist Assistant student at Naugatuck Valley Community College.
Sara has worked with clients of all ages and fitness abilities. Her focus in teaching Pilates is to give participants new awareness to their body, mind, and spirit. Sara wants her clients to take what they learn in Pilates and apply it to their lives outside of class to experience freedom in their movements and a greater quality of life!
