Pilates Day at PTSMC Wethersfield

Pilates Day is an annual, international community event celebrated on the first Saturday of May every year.
To celebrate this year, PTSMC Wethersfield will be hosting a FREE event, including an all-levels mat class, Q&A with our Pilates instructor, and demonstration with our unique reformer machine. To register, please fill out the form on this page.
The goal of Pilates Day is to foster the public’s appreciation and awareness of Pilates through a network of varied, innovative, and high quality grassroots Pilates events accessible and affordable for all.
Ultimately, Pilates Day is about creating community, experiencing this amazing movement system, and feeling fantastic!
9:00am: Welcome from clinic Partner & Director, Kasey Adinolfi
9:15am – 10:00am: All levels mat class
10:00am-11:00am: Q&A and mini-reformer machine demo
About the Class
Led by our Pilates Teacher, Sara Miller, PTA, NCPT, this free Pilates mat class is designed for everyone, from those just starting their Pilates journey to those who have practiced before! This class will cover fundamental Pilates principles and incorporate them into full-body movement sequences. Pilates exercises are designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. The exercises are done on a mat using body weight as resistance, and are low impact and gentle on the joints. *Please bring your own mat or beach towel.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Sara has been a Fitness Professional since 2006. She is a comprehensively trained Pilates Teacher who earned her certification through the National Pilates Certification Program. In addition to being a Pilates Teacher, she is also a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Wethersfield clinic.
Sara has worked with clients of all ages and fitness abilities. Her focus in teaching Pilates is to help participants discover new awareness to their body, mind, and spirit. Sara teaches her students to take what they learn in Pilates and apply it to their lives outside of class to experience freedom in their movements and a greater quality of life!
