Nick Lopez

I would say this experience was far superior to my other clinical experiences. I felt that I was given ample opportunities to practice a wide range of orthopedic skills and receive plenty of feedback throughout my rotation. The patient population I was able to work with was also much more varied when compared to previous rotations." - Nicholas Lopez, Former Student/Danbury PT

“I had a fantastic mentor and CI. He really took the time to refine my skills during our time together, and it was obvious he wanted me to succeed and do well. His mindset, as well as the mindset of PTSMC, of what physical therapy can and should be very much resonated with me.”
- John

“Positive work environment, built up appropriate case load, able to practice skills when not seeing patients, CI always available by phone/email, open communication and willingness to teach, allowed me as therapist to treat in my own style”
- Olivia

My clinical experience with PTSMC was by far my favorite out of my four clinical experiences. My expectations and responsibilities were clearly communicated.

The environment provided by staff at the facility was extremely supportive, non-judgmental, and facilitated a community where I was comfortable asking anyone questions, down to the front desk staff and the aides.

There were a few educational opportunities including lunches/meetings with other healthcare professionals in the area such as massage therapists and MDs, allowing me to gain confidence communicating with other professionals while expanding my network.

Not only did I feel supported by the clinic staff, but also staff at other locations including Juliann Chacko, Sandra Boccialetti, and Karen Havlicek who coordinated opportunities for me while encouraging and supporting me through the process. I truly felt seen and heard not just as a student, but as a person and future clinician the past 14 weeks.

As compared to previous clinicals where I felt respected as a student, but did not experience the genuine care and support that I did here. PTSMC truly went above and beyond for me, which I am so grateful for. - Rachel Barr, Former Student/Westbrook PT
